Sunday in Seoul

Outside of the National Museum of Korea in Seoul. This museum was built a few years ago and houses many incredibly old and beautiful national relics.

I feel so fortunate to have seen this show in the basement of a small café in Seoul. I sat in the center of an audience of about 40 people. The place was quirky and very sweet. I wish I knew the names of these two. They opened with a cover of The Flaming Lips' "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" and went on to sing Korean lullabies and rock songs for the next hour. They complemented each other very well, soft voices and a beautiful touch on the piano and guitar.

Music is a form of communication in itself. It's as though language is irrelevant. And so although I couldn't understand what they were singing about, I could feel it.

I am fortunate to have made a friend, Won Dong, who enjoys many of the things in life that I do. I'm very lucky to have been invited to this show.
